Platform Engineer - Wiltshire / Remote - 6-Month Contract - Competitive Day Rate

iO Associates are currently looking for a Platform Engineer to join our client based in Wiltshire for a 6-month contract role offering a competitive day rate for an immediate start. The client is looking for someone to start by December 6th and you will be asked to be onsite 2 days a week initially but more remote working may be granted throughout the duration of the contract - this can be negotiable depending on experience.

You will be working for a client that looks fantastic on a CV and is highly respected throughout multiple industries. You will be expected to help to evolve the team from a traditional on prem infrastructure focused function to a Platforms team, to include automated cloud toolsets, support existing and new Cloud projects, managing, responding to and resolving platform alerts, and working with Cloud CoE and Network CoE functions to ensure standards are adhered to.

You must have experience with the following:

Essential criteria:

• Platform and DevOps engineering experience for enterprise customers
• Strong AWS experience
• Previous CI/CD experience including BitBucket, Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins.
• Deployments of AWS resources using terraform templates e.g. EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, security groups, route tables, etc.

• Any prior experience of the following technologies:
• Coding / scripting experience
• Windows and Linux experience
• AD/DNS/DHCP
• VMWare and Hyper-V virtualisation
• HPE Nimble/3PAR SAN storage arrays
