We are currently looking for a Principal /Lead Engineer - Electrical to join a leading client of ours in the Defence/Nuclear sector. They are a leading infrastructure solutions provider driving innovation across transportation, energy, water, and defence sectors. They are renowned for delivering complex, high-impact projects that support national sustainability and economic growth goals.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for an innovative hydrogen project. This role demands deep expertise in electrical engineering for process plants and strong leadership capabilities to oversee a major project.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical input and approve electrical engineering documents.
Allocate tasks and ensure on-time project delivery.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
Prepare requisitions and review bids for HV/LV equipment.

Key skills:

Experience in HV system design up to 33kV.
Strong knowledge of HV protection systems and schematics.
Skilled in electrical network and earthing system design.
Proficient in power system analysis (fault levels, load flow).
Expertise in specifying equipment for hazardous areas.
