Supplier Quality Engineer

(m/f/d) 📍 Location: Southern Germany |

About the Role

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be the key driver for internal complaint handling and root cause analysis across multiple departments. You'll also take ownership of supplier management, ensuring long-term improvements and strong collaborative relationships between internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

🔧 Complaint Management

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement timely and sustainable corrective actions

  • Analyse trends, track KPIs, and prepare documentation to highlight systemic issues

  • Champion internal and supplier-side problem-solving to prevent recurrence of non-conformity's

  • Present findings and progress updates to internal stakeholders

📦 Supplier & Audit Oversight

  • Contribute to initial sample inspections and supplier qualification

  • Set quality objectives for suppliers and manage ongoing performance

  • Conduct or support system, process, and product audits

  • Maintain accurate, high-quality audit documentation and corrective action tracking

Candidate Profile

🎓 Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field

  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, materials science, and basic software knowledge

  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001

💼 Experience

  • 5+ years in supplier quality engineering or a similar role

  • Background in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices) is preferred

🧠 Key Skills

  • Analytically mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Strong communication in English and German (minimum B2)

  • Independent, proactive work style and the ability to lead initiatives

  • Willingness to travel; valid driver's license required
