Document Controller

Reading - Hybrid

Up to £35 per hour inside IR35

We are currently looking for a Document Controller - Quality Framework to join a leading client of ours in the Defence/Nuclear sector. They are a leading infrastructure solutions provider driving innovation across transportation, energy, water, and defence sectors. They are renowned for delivering complex, high-impact projects that support national sustainability and economic growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acted as Lead/Senior Document Controller, independently managing document control processes without requiring significant engineering team support.
  • Tracked all deliverables using Microsoft Excel, updating progress through process steps and maintaining accurate records.
  • Managed distribution of documents for review and information, updating review matrices and actively following up with stakeholders to ensure timely feedback.
  • Utilised Meridian and SharePoint to transfer documents and DCFs between platforms; regularly updated review matrices based on delivery partner programme changes.

Key skills

  • Reported weekly on key metrics such as document review durations, number of review cycles, and overall progress.
  • Identified and proposed improvements to enhance efficiency in document control processes.
  • Regularly aligned internal tracking documentation with trackers maintained by the delivery partner to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Holder or ability to obtain & hold SC (or above) clearance is required.
