Senior Data Engineer - Up to £70k - Greater Manchester - Flexible hybrid working

iO Associates is recruiting a talented Senior Data Engineer for one of our clients in the eCommerce industry. This is an exciting time to join a business that is undergoing significant digital transformation in line with it's evolving Data strategy.

What will you be doing?

Designing, developing and deploying robust data pipelines and ETL processes to transform and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
Implementing best practices for data modelling, storage and retrieval to ensure scalability, reliability and performance of business data infrastructure.
Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to operationalise machine learning models and enable real-time data analytics for actionable insights.
Working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define data engineering solutions, and drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making.
Continuously improving Data processes as new technology is implemented

What are we looking for?

Strong Data Engineer experience utilizing tools such as Snowflake and DBT
Some degree of architecture experience with proven examples of being involved in design phases
Experience working with huge data sets ideally within a commercial sector
An inquisitive nature and a creative problem solver, proactively finding solutions and improving processes to improve flow times and success rates
