Do you want to help shape the future of mobile broadband?
A leading innovator of high throughput, modular phased arrays is looking for a Senior Digital/Analogue Hardware Engineer.
This exciting start up has been taken over by a leading international communications company who have given them significant investment to expand.
You will complement their existing design team and will play a part in designing, verifying and producing board level hardware designs for our clients phased array antenna products.

These roles will be London based and are paying between £50,000 - £65,000 p/a (potential for negotiation DOE)
Essential:
- At least 3 - 5 years experience in a relevant industry working on leading-edge embedded product developments in the data communications, automotive or aerospace industry.
- Strong background in high speed Digital and Analogue circuit design from initial concept, specification and design through to software and systems integration, test and manufacture.
- Knowledge of FPGA design, simulation and test using a high-level programming language such as VHDL/Verilog, in particular. (Altera / Intel Cyclone family).
- Strong embedded systems design skills using the ARM Cortex family of MCUs, combined with FPGAs and Ethernet Switches. Familiar with interfacing to external memories and peripherals such as Parallel/SPI Flash, SRAM, Ethernet PHYs, CAN, Serial using industry standard interfaces.
- Good understanding of low voltage point of load power supply design (switch mode and linear), control loops and power estimates. Familiarity with simulation tools & test methods for transient analysis, loop stability and frequency response analysis.
- Significant product design experience of complex, mixed signal multi-layer PCB designs and the management of associated debug and integration issues
- Experienced in the layout of high-speed multi-layer PCBs including micro-via technology, stackup constraints and controlled impedance traces. Solid knowledge of high-speed design techniques.
- Familiarity with schematic capture tools such as Altium Designer and tools for SI simulations.
- Ability to liaise with and manage PCB layout engineers, fabricators and assembly houses.
- Conversant with product safety and design for EMC.
- Design for test - DFM/DFT for volume manufacture. JTAG boundary scan development.
- Competent practical experience in the use of test equipment such as scopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers, signal generators, power meters.
- Creative with good problem-solving abilities. Able to adapt to a fast-moving environment.
