Senior Engineer - Landing Gear
Annual salary: Up to 85,000 EUR
Full-time permanent role
Location: Munich, Germany
Visa: Sponsorship provided
iO Associates is partnering with an aerospace OEM currently seeking a Senior Engineer - Landing Gear to take on technical responsibility for the development, modification, and certification of landing gears, wheels, and braking systems. This role will be through our client's trusted engineering consultancy, working onsite with the OEM, and visa sponsorship is available for candidates moving from outside the EU.
Requirements:
- Over 7 years of experience in the aerospace industry
- Proven expertise in landing gear systems development
- Experience in the development of at least one new Part 25 aircraft programme, from inception to certification
- Familiarity with EASA Part 21J and CS/FAR 25 regulations
- Strong command of the English language (B2 level or higher)
Responsibilities:
- Technical responsibility for landing gear, wheels, and brakes
- Sizing, development, and modification of complete systems and equipment
- Definition of requirements and verification/validation in accordance with ARP4754
- Preparation of Part 21 compliance documentation (MOC 0-9)
- Safety analysis at both system and equipment levels
- Creation of technical specifications and design documents
- Act as the main technical contact for external suppliers
- Participation in EASA panel meetings
- Support for qualification, ground, and flight testing
- Conduct technical trade studies and develop solutions to in-service issues
