Senior Software Developer

iO Associates are partnered with a leading Financial services brand who are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Full Stack Software Developer with a strong background in .NET and C#. As a key member of their development team, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure financial applications. You will work across the entire software stack, from frontend to backend, and play a critical role in shaping the future of their technology platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Architect, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using .NET, C#, and modern frontend frameworks.
• End-to-End Ownership: Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering and design to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Performance Optimisation: Ensure applications are optimised for performance, scalability, and security.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and drive the adoption of new tools and practices that can enhance our product offerings.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on .NET and C#.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in .NET Core/Framework, C#, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework.
• Strong frontend development skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Experience with SQL Server and/or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and web services.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the financial services industry, with an understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices, is highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
