Trade Compliance Officer

Role: Trade Compliance Officer
Location: Hybrid - Romsey or Woking x3 days and remote x2 days
Rates: Up to 200 per day
Determination: Outside IR35
iO Associates are working with a National Security Consultancy on the search for a Trade Compliance Officer to join their team ASAP. The contract is for 3 months initially and is Hybrid - remote for 2x days and on-site in Romsey or Woking for 3x days.
You will need to be BPSS clearable and willing to be on-site when required.
Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, be conversant with UK export control laws and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:

• Assisting with trade compliance queries
• Leading training sessions
• Audit preparation
• Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels

Skills:

• Conversant with UK export control laws
• Experience of managing and administering an export compliance business system (with a thorough understanding of both UK and US export control requirements
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance integrity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
