Automation Tester

I'm looking for an experienced Technical Tester who is looking to make the jump to work in a supportive company that will offer you the autonomy to invoke the techniques and approaches that you prefer, while providing the support to allow you to develop your own skillset further. Our current broad QA Function is held up by the development team, some of whom come from Testing backgrounds so you will have educated support from the off.

We are a Tech-focused, training-provider within the Insurance space. As such, among our numerous financial benefits, you will have access to a host of training resources as well as a clear and transparent progression pathway.

What we need is someone to come in and take ownership of the QA function, treat it as a blank slate and work autonomously to elevate Test coverage. That may sound like a daunting task but there are a number of supporting factors. For one, you will have an incredibly supportive Development team, working with you on this process. For two, they operate in a relatively low pressure environment so you can work at a pace that suits you to establish robust process and really get things right.

Where?: We are a Cardiff-based Software house but this role can be predominantly remote if you would prefer. We would ideally like someone who can be in on a weekly basis.

What's in it for you?: Aside from a salary of around £54,000 with regular review, a 10% bonus and you will also get an 8% Pension and 33 days paid holiday per annum.

Technical requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • JavaScript with Cypress, Wedbriver.iO or Protractor
  • Specflow or Cucumber for BDD
  • Postman for API
  • Experience with Git would be ideal
  • Strong manual skills are a must
  • Non-functional abilities are a plus
