Our global Industrial division started a complete renewal of the terminal portfolio. Some of the actions taken are of great importance to strengthen the current core-business, but also to leverage a variety of future, digital opportunities. With increased integration of our solutions into IT and OT, system understanding, and architecture will gain further importance. This will pave the way to leverage the industrial internet of things, with the terminal as a key-component in edge computing. That is why we are looking for a motivated Requirements Engineer (f/m/d) 100%.

This role is based in our global operational Headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee.

The Terminal R&D efforts are performed by our global team in China and Germany. We will extend our team by strengthening our capabilities and building a new R&D Competence Center in Switzerland, facilitating an end-to-end development of our high-end terminals in central Europe. The new team will help us to extend our competencies by offering excellent opportunities to talents in the greater Zurich area. Any first-movers will have the chance to shape the team and deliver an important contribution to turn us into a major player in digital solutions for our customers.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

• As requirements engineer with experience in software development, you play a major role in shaping a strategic software platform as part of our terminal business and digital growth strategy.
• As a part of a dynamic and high-performance software team you can work independently and help the team achieve its goals.
• You work closely with your global R&D, Ui/Ux team and cooperation partners.
• You are skilled in agile working methods and tools. You can shape the processes and toolchain to significantly improve the way how we do requirements engineering
• You maintain a tight connection to our customers and to all internal customer-facing roles to really understand how our high-precision measurement instrumentation is used to create the maximum customer value.
• You structure and prioritize the requirements well, so that the engineers are excited for implementation.

What You Need to Succeed

• Higher degree in computer science or engineering (FH / BSc, MSc, phd)
• Relevant work experience in the software engineering environment.
• Professional experience in C#, .NET, WPF
• Experiences with continuous integration systems and agile methodologies (preferably in Azure DevOps)
• Experience on one or several other frameworks such as ASP.NET or on web front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Blazor
• Experience with developing complex systems, consisting of hardware, electronics and software.
• High customer orientation and a passion to find beautiful solutions to maximize customer value.
• Experience with certification and approval processes.
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration platforms is a plus
• Know-how of phase models and agile methods
• A passion for clean code and pragmatic, elegant design
• Reliable person with good communication skills, who can work independently and focuses on the team's goals
• Enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility, team spirit, and general awesomeness in software engineering
• Fluent in English (oral and written) - German is a plus
