Excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer with strong programming skills, embedded development experience and good device networking knowledge to join our team with an opportunity to make your mark on a crucial department within Calrec.
Calrec supplies audio broadcast mixing consoles and equipment to the world's most successful broadcasters.

As a Software Engineer you will have technical responsibility for developing and delivering software for professional audio products. Working in cross-functional team, you will be involved in all parts of the software lifecycle; from specification and design through to maintenance. The successful candidate will be keen to learn, industrious, possess an exemplary attitude, take ownership, drive progress and strive to create good quality software solutions.
This is your ideal role if you have:

  • Minimum of 3 years software development using an object oriented programming language.
  • Good working knowledge of C++
  • Software development for embedded platforms.
  • OOD / OOP
  • An understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • Network troubleshooting
  • A good understanding of hardware platforms and how s/w & f/w components work together


It would be useful if you have experience/knowledge in the following areas:

  • AoIP / AoE / VoIP
  • PTP version 2
  • AES67
  • RTP
  • Network switch configuration
  • Using packet analyser software
  • JIRA
  • Git
  • Yocto
