iO Associates seeks an 3rd Line Network Support Engineer to work with our client in Basingstoke Area. They are a prominent global entity in the information and communications technology solutions and services sector.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the team to maintain on-premise networks supporting business-as-usual (BAU) activities.

Salary: Up to £56k per annum

This position would be office based.

Active Security Clearance/ Clearable required.

Required:

  • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of core routing and switching at CCNP level (minimum).
  • Proficient in IP routing (BGP, OSPF, static routing, HSRP, VRF, tunneling protocols).
  • Sound understanding of Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, port-security, 802.1X, spanning-tree).
  • Familiarity with firewalls, including Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA, and related features (ASDM, ACLs, IPSEC VPNs).
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco ISR and ASR routers, and Cisco ISE.
  • Strong experience with Juniper leaves, spines, and switches.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform network configuration changes, upgrades, and engage with third parties, internal teams, and end customers.
  • Contribute to project-based work closely with the project delivery team.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to the 2nd line network team.
