Avionics Systems Engineer
Location: Onsite in Munich, Germany
Contract: 6 months (ANÜ)

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop and integrate avionics systems at aircraft level (ATA 23, 31, 45, 46)
  • Define system architectures and requirements for avionics systems
  • Lead design, integration and certification of communication systems (VHF, HF, VDL, CPDLC, FANS 1/A, SATCOM incl. safety services, WiFi, LTE)
  • Oversee design, integration and certification of antenna installations
  • Drive design, integration and certification of crew audio management and passenger address systems
  • Support activities related to indication systems (Electronic Checklists, Crew Alerting System, Synoptics)
  • Lead design, integration and certification of flight data, cockpit voice and data link recording systems
  • Review and release Part 21 compliance documentation (MoC 0-9)
  • Prepare specifications and type design documents
  • Serve as technical point of contact for external suppliers
  • Support qualification, ground tests, and flight test campaigns
  • Conduct technical trade studies and comparative analyses
  • Develop innovative technical solutions for in-service issues

What You Bring

  • Master's Degree or Diplom-Ingenieur in Aerospace Engineering
  • 10+ years of aerospace industry experience
  • Experience in at least one full aircraft development program
  • Strong knowledge of EASA Part 21J and CS-25/FAR 25
  • Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to structure and manage work efficiently
  • Hands-on mentality with strong problem-solving and analytical ability
  • Creativity, ownership, and the ability to work independently
