About the role:

We're seeking a Data Scientist to elevate our acquisition and retention efforts to new heights. Our goal is to create a top-tier sign-up journey, precisely tailored to the needs of our diverse customer base. We also aim to enhance their experience when adjusting policies, considering cancellations, or approaching renewal. To achieve this, we need to understand their pain points and address them effectively, all while maintaining strong financial performance. A proactive Data Scientist with a passion for driving business forward can make a significant impact.

This is just the beginning of Data Science's journey to becoming a key innovator in our company and the broader insurance industry.

What you'll be doing:

  • Enhancing the presentation and pricing of our products during sign-up, and developing strategies to improve customer retention.
  • Collaborating within a cross-functional team (engineers, designers, analysts, product managers) and becoming an expert in your area.
  • Influencing the team's roadmap and priorities by using data to identify new opportunities.
  • Promoting data-driven processes within the team.
  • Designing and monitoring A/B tests to measure the impact of initiatives.

Who You Are

  • You possess a commercial mindset, focused on delivering business impact quickly.
  • You can communicate clearly with people of varying technical levels and disciplines.
  • You are eager to explore and define new opportunities, even in uncharted territory.
  • You recognize the importance of solid data foundations for enabling complex analytics and ML projects.

What We're Looking for From You

Essential Experience:

  • Building future-proof data models and analytics products.
  • Driving business action and impact through data-driven insights.
  • Developing ML models to solve business problems.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Ability to handle large data sets.
  • At least 1-2 years of commercial experience.
