Position: ECSS Quality Inspector

Pay rate: £40 p/h inside IR35.

location: Portsmouth, UK

Role Type: 06 Month Contract with extension (37 hours per week) + overtime (premium rate - 25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun)

IO Associates seeks a ECSS Quality Inspector for the Portsmouth site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. Responsibilities

  • Drive a quality-first mindset in Production operations to prevent non-quality issues within the cleanroom, emphasizing prevention strategies and adherence to strict quality standards.
  • Monitor and enforce world-class workmanship standards and cleanroom practices/processes, ensuring that all operations meet or exceed industry benchmarks for cleanliness and precision.
  • Conduct thorough design and integrity verification inspections on Flight Hardware and Test setups, meticulously following company D&S inspection criteria and ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, 28 & 38 standards to guarantee the highest level of compliance with established design and quality rules.
  • Support Health & Safety initiatives by promoting a culture of safety and 5S practices in the cleanroom environment. Conduct internal audits, validate staff certifications, and actively mitigate risks to maintain a safe and efficient cleanroom workspace.

Skills Required

  • Certification to ECSS-Q-70-08/38/28 and/or ECSS-Q-70-61
