Location: Multiple locations (Hampshire, West Yorkshire and East Yorkshire.)

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £40k per annum plus allowances

iO is looking for a Large Loss Handler to handle the insurance claims who will be handling day-to-day management of claims under your control, and excellent communications with policyholders, Suppliers, and Loss Assessors for those aspects of the claim.

They deliver straightforward and reliable claims solutions, specializing in household and motor insurance claims with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage claims on a day-to-day basis and maintain clear communication with policyholders, suppliers, and loss assessors.
• Assess liability, record, and negotiate settlements for contents items, including arranging alternative accommodation for policyholders as needed.
• Maintain organized claim files with accurate documentation for audit, complaints analysis, and client review.
• Collaborate with the Building Surveyor Team to manage claim reserves and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely updates until claims are resolved.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years previous experience of working in an insurance claims-related handling role.
• High-level understanding of insurance/indemnity policies and legal structure.
• Proven capability of claims negotiation with policyholders and Loss Assessors.
