Are you passionate about cutting-edge networking technologies? We're seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a team in Zurich and drive the transformation of network infrastructure through Software Defined Networking (SDN). As an SDN specialist, you'll play a crucial role in modernizing and optimizing the network.

Responsibilities:

Design and Implement SDN Solutions

    • Leverage state-of-the-art technologies and protocols to design and implement SDN solutions.
    • Configure and manage SDN controllers, switches, and other components.

Integration and Automation

    • Seamlessly integrate SDN solutions into our existing network infrastructure.
    • Develop automation and orchestration workflows to enhance network efficiency and flexibility.

Testing and Troubleshooting

    • Conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and performance of our SDN infrastructure.
    • Troubleshoot any issues that arise, leveraging your deep understanding of SDN concepts.

Collaboration

    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and tailor customized SDN solutions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

    • Completed training, a degree in IT, or a comparable qualification.
    • Proven experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining SDN solutions.

Technical Expertise

    • Deep understanding of SDN concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., OpenFlow, VXLAN, NFV).
    • Familiarity with SDN platforms such as VMware NSX-T and OpenStack.

Programming and Automation

    • Proficiency in programming and automation, preferably with Python or similar scripting languages.

Certification

    • Possessing an SDN certification is a plus.

Soft Skills

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
