We're seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a team in Zurich and drive the transformation of network infrastructure through Software Defined Networking (SDN). As an SDN specialist, you'll play a crucial role in modernizing and optimizing the network.

Responsibilities:

Design and Implement SDN Solutions

Leverage state-of-the-art technologies and protocols to design and implement SDN solutions.
Configure and manage SDN controllers, switches, and other components.

Integration and Automation

Seamlessly integrate SDN solutions into our existing network infrastructure.
Develop automation and orchestration workflows to enhance network efficiency and flexibility.

Testing and Troubleshooting

Conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and performance of our SDN infrastructure.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise, leveraging your deep understanding of SDN concepts.

Collaboration

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and tailor customized SDN solutions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Completed training, a degree in IT, or a comparable qualification.
Proven experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining SDN solutions.

Technical Expertise

Deep understanding of SDN concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., OpenFlow, VXLAN, NFV).
Familiarity with SDN platforms such as VMware NSX-T and OpenStack.

Programming and Automation

Proficiency in programming and automation, preferably with Python or similar scripting languages.

Certification

Possessing an SDN certification is a plus.

Soft Skills

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
