SC - Principal Design Engineer

Manchester - Hybrid

Up to £550 per hour OUTSIDE IR35

We are currently looking for qualified Principal Design Engineer with Active SC to support a key nuclear project with a leading client of ours in the Defence/Nuclear sector. They are a leading infrastructure solutions provider driving innovation across transportation, energy, water, and defence sectors. They are renowned for delivering complex, high-impact projects that support national sustainability and economic growth goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and filter electrical drawings across two document/record systems
Identify and transfer accurate records to AO (authoritative document system)
Assess 132kV/11kV system drawings for alignment with current installations
Support design assurance and documentation accuracy

Essential Criteria:

Active Security Clearance (SC).
Professionally registered (IEng or CEng).
Experience with design and implementation of 132kV and 11kV substations.
'Person' status for access to Gridyards/Substations.
Willingness to undertake site-specific security and safety training near Chester.
