iO Associates are excited to partner with a Global Food Manufacturing Business located in Carlise in the search for a Process Development Manager on a 12-month FTC. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company where you can develop your career and make a real impact.

As the Process Development Manager, you will lead and facilitate projects aimed at introducing new products, implementing manufacturing and technological advancements, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive targeted initiatives aimed at introducing innovative new products and unlocking cost-saving opportunities within the Process Development Team, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standards, within budget and on time.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and documentation of factory trials.
  • Opportunity to develop bespoke process specifications for the site's product range, ensuring alignment with the plant's capabilities for product changes and launches.
  • Maintain and enhance the company's specification systems, which capture and manage technical information, whilst ensuring operational excellence and adaptability.
  • You will be based in the site at Carlisle, however, there will be times when you are required to travel to other manufacturing sites.

You will need:

  • HND qualification or higher in Food Science, Manufacturing or Engineering
  • 3+ years experience within a food manufacturer, within an R&D or technical position
  • Track record of success in implementing New Product Development, continuous improvement projects, and cost reduction within a technical environment.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence in prioritising tasks

In return for this, you will receive a salary of £40,000, alongside benefits such as up to a 10% performance-related bonus, life insurance and pension contribution.
