Product Quality Engineer (Contract)

We're working with a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer in London who are seeking a Product Quality Engineer to support the delivery of high-reliability flight hardware through assembly, integration and test. This role will be key in ensuring compliance to ECSS & ESA standards.

Role Overview

Lead product assurance for hardware, software, and system-level deliverable across programmes.
Define and execute assurance plans aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS requirements.
Partner with engineering, production, and suppliers to maintain compliance and meet delivery targets.
Manage supplier quality activities, including materials control, process oversight, inspections, and audits.
Champion risk management, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Aerospace, Mechanical/Materials, or related field)
5+ years' product assurance experience on space projects (European Space Agency, UK Space Agency or similar)
In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS quality standards
Proven experience managing and collaborating with suppliers and vendors
Must hold UK or EU (27) citizenship
