SC or DV Cleared Security Support Consultant - OUTSIDE IR35 - 6 month Contract



iO Associates are currently looking for an SC or DV Cleared Security Support Consultant for a 6 - month contract role (OUTSIDE IR35) offering up to £350 a day (depending on experience) starting ASAP.

This role offers hybrid working - the client is looking for hybrid working model, you to work remotely but would they like you to be onsite 2 - 3 days a week.

The ideal candidates will have experience working with the MOD, Central Governments and / or Defence Consultancies - this will be a big bonus. DV Clearance is preferred over SC Clearance, but SC Clearance will be fine for you to start the role.

It will be a long term contract, with the opportunity to expand from a Cyber Security Analyst/ SOC Analyst/ Security Engineer role into a Cyber Security Support Consultant role.

You will need experience with MOD projects so that you've had exposure to Secure by Design and RMAD.

Ideally, you're working in a consultancy into the MOD at present, or finished in the last 12 months and eager to start a new opportunity. You will need either SC or DV clearance.


You'll need the following experience (ideally):

  • Collaborate and coordinate with the CSM to uphold adherence to MoD policies and standards.
  • Engage with the Authority SAC to facilitate effective communication.
  • Create and manage documentation for Assurance and Security Operations, including Secure by Design/RMADS, SyOps, CoCos, ITHC, and Protective Monitoring.
  • Provide support for security-related training, guidance, and awareness initiatives for individuals within the account.
  • Investigate security breaches in IT or information systems and ensure compliance with the Authority Security policies.
  • Follow established Authority security incident reporting processes to support and report security incidents.
  • Function as a security approver in the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  • Serve as an approver for the import and export of operations.
  • Possess practical experience with IT systems, including hands-on knowledge of AD, databases, devops, SIEMs, and Clouds.
