Packaging Engineer - Microsoft Estate - Inside IR35 - Upto £475 per day - Hybrid (Southampton)

I am looking for an experienced Packaging Engineer to support software, OS, and security patch deployment across a diverse Microsoft device and server estate.

Please note, for this role you must be eligbile for SC Clearance, and ideally will hold or have held this previously.

Key Responsibilities:

Package, test, and deploy applications and updates (MSI/MSIX, Windows 10/11)
Support OS migrations and maintain configuration standards
Administer SCCM, MECM, Intune, and GPOs
Automate patching processes and contribute to secure-by-design infrastructure
Provide 3rd line support and mentor engineering colleagues

Skills & Experience:

Expertise in MSI/MSIX packaging and defect remediation
Hands-on OSD experience (e.g. MDT) and OS transitions
Scripting with PowerShell, BAT, VB, or C#
Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
