iO Associates is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work with a renowned technical firm that specialises in producing high-precision electromagnetic instruments for the scientific and medical fields, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who will be involved in working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers.

Required:

• Degree in mechanical engineering, either a BSc or BEng.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (alternative programmes may be taken into consideration, however Solid Works is the preferred option).
• 3 years minimum of industry experience working on manufacturing designs.

Responsibilities:

• Utilising FEA tools, do mechanical design calculations and analyses.
• Evaluate drawings and design outcomes; review component data and determine if it is suitable for DFM.
• Using Solidworks to produce 3D designs and generate BOMs for the corresponding designs.
• Managing a small team of designers and participating in hiring and team expansion.
