Senior Network Engineer

£65,000 to £70,000 per annum

iO Associates are partnering with a leading consultancy that delivers global expertise in Cloud, Security, and Networking services ranging from strategy and design through to implementation and support.

They are currently seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the team on a Permanent. This role will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and optimisation of complex network infrastructure, particularly during key transition and integration phases.

You'll work across modern security environments with a focus on automation, scalability, and resilience.

To be considered for this role, you must have experience in the following:

5+ years of experience in Network Engineering roles, with a strong technical foundation
CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on expertise (CCIE a plus, but not mandatory)
Proven experience working in Cisco and Arista Data Center environments
Deep understanding of Leaf-Spine network architectures and VXLAN overlay technologies
Strong knowledge and practical experience with core routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF
Skilled in packet-level diagnostics and analysis using Wireshark
Familiarity with firewall technologies, particularly Fortigate and Palo Alto

Bonus experience:

Hands-on exposure to Palo Alto GlobalProtect, decryption policies, and DLP
Working knowledge of Juniper routers/firewalls
Experience with network automation and infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Git
