About the Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Software Developer with PHP and Laravel to join a friendly and capable in-house team of five developers. Our client, based in a picturesque village on the Mendip Hills is looking for someone to help rebuild their legacy products using new Microservices Architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and document Laravel-based service applications.
• Contribute to the rebuild of legacy products from procedural PHP + HTML + CSS + JS/jQuery.
• Potential involvement in the development of overall architecture and non-Laravel/PHP services.

Essential Requirements:

• Modern OOP PHP expertise.
• Laravel application/API development experience.
• Basic MySQL usage & administration.
• Basic GIT usage.
• Basic Linux server administration.

Desirable Skills:

• Messaging Queue (e.g., AMQP) expertise.
• Automated testing experience.
• Jelastic / Docker expertise.
• Microservice architecture experience.
• SCRUM/agile methodology experience.
