A well-established European communications technology business is hiring a Business Development / Strategic Partnerships professional to help drive growth across satellite communications and mission/critical connectivity. This is a permanent, on-site role in southern Germany.
The role
You’ll focus on identifying and shaping new opportunities, building partner ecosystems, and helping bring emerging technology into real-world products and solutions. A key element is end-to-end support of public / government funding programmes and coordinating internal stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities driven by technology and market trends
- Build and manage strategic partnerships (industry, public sector, R&D ecosystem)
- Own funding programme activity end-to-end (e.g., national/EU/space-agency style programmes): identification, application support, selection, and project follow-through
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering/development, sales, and finance to deliver growth initiatives
- Produce market & trend analysis and translate insights into clear recommendations for product/business strategy
- Support go-to-market activity to open up new business areas
Ideal background
- Degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or similar
- Several years’ experience in business development and public funding programmes or SatComs
- Strong project management capability
- Confident communicator and negotiator, comfortable with senior stakeholders
- German and English at a very good professional level
