Role Summary
Due to expansion in their space electronics division, Our Client is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to take on a pivotal role within interdisciplinary projects. This position is critical as it encompasses responsibilities from initial studies through to integration on satellites. As a technical leader, you will have the opportunity to significantly influence project outcomes and drive innovation in high-end space technology, making your contributions both impactful and rewarding.
Responsibilities
The Senior Electronics Engineer will be tasked with the following key duties:

  • Provide technical leadership for electronics in interdisciplinary projects from inception to satellite integration.
  • Specify, analyse, and test electronic units for satellite and space applications.
  • Conduct circuit analysis for derating, worst-case scenarios, and radiation considerations.
  • Plan and supervise the procurement of high-reliability EEE components.
  • Oversee testing and verification processes.
  • Engage in internal process improvement initiatives.
  • Document design and testing activities comprehensively.
  • Present technical topics to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Essential Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate:

  • A degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a closely related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital and analogue circuit design.
  • Proficiency with standard electronics design tools (including schematic entry, simulation, and analysis).
  • Experience with microcontrollers is preferred.
  • Familiarity with space-related design processes is advantageous.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with pragmatism and flexibility.
  • Strong team player capabilities, excellent organisational skills, and effective communication within a global and interdisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in English; a good command of German is a advantage.

Desirable Skills & Experience
While not mandatory, the following will enhance your application:

  • Experience in high-reliability electronics for space applications.
