Senior Manufacturing Engineer

iO Associates have partnered with a world renowned electronics manufacturer based in Eastbourne. My client are actively recruiting for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the NPI team. In this dynamic role you will be responsible for ensuring products are manufacturable. You will do this by using your electronic assembly knowledge to influence the design engineers on choice of materials and parts, while working with operations to establish a suitable manufacturing area.

Throughout the project you will ensure accurate BoM and product cost estimates are maintained. This role will give you the opportunity to get your teeth into a ground breaking long term project on some really high tech products and processes. You will be accountable for several KPIs, preparing SOPs for all new products and facilitating the handover to operations personnel too.

To be considered for the role you will need:

• Engineering Qualification and 4+ years experience in a new product development role within an electronics assembly environment or at least 3 years experience as a Cell engineer in support of an electronics assembly plant.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Packaging processes would be an advantage.
• Awareness of Printed Circuit Assembly techniques is essential for this role.
