Senior Project Manager

Ambitious, growing consultancy looking for a talented Project Manager to take on a senior position within existing project management team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career and work on some of the world's most exciting product development projects.

You will work with multi-disciplinary design and engineering teams to lead and manage the development of medical and consumer goods devices, from concept through to production. This is a key position of responsibility and your success in this role will be central to the success of the company. We need an innovative, experienced and delivery focused individual with the drive and enthusiasm to push forward relentlessly in a fast-paced and supportive team environment.

Working as a trusted partner to pharmaceutical companies and household brand names, projects deliver a vast array of products to global markets. Responsibilities:

  • Managing multiple design and development projects, ranging from initial concept, product definition, design & development, and transfer to manufacture
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance
  • Managing timelines, resource, budgets and risks
  • Managing relationships with our clients
  • Capturing business opportunities from ongoing client project activities
  • Supporting business development activities including formulation of costed technical proposals
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure successful project delivery
  • Leading and working with the project teams to solve challenging design, mechanical engineering, electronics, and software challenges

Skills & experience required:

  • degree in an engineering or another relevant discipline
  • An industry recognised Project Management qualification or certification
  • A minimum of 5 years' project management experience, managing medical device design and development project
  • A project management track-record gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal project reporting
  • Ability to communicate ideas and work flexibly within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - articulate and diplomatic manner
  • Experience of planning tasks and defining project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Ability to track project progress and deliver on-time and budget projects
  • Ability to address issues as they arise, and both make and drive decisions
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience working within a consulting environment
  • An industry recognised Project Management qualification or certification
