iO associates are proud to be representing one of UK leading Defence agencies as they look to expand their contract team for an exciting new project. The project will be for at least 6 months (extension likely) outside IR35 and paying £600 - £700. Due to the nature of the work however the role will be 5 days on site (Bristol) for the first 3 weeks before moving to a hybrid model of 2/3 days a week.

The position includes:

Overseeing the company's development and production environments, handling architectural decisions for the company's line of products.

Being able to understand the system requirements and automating processes and CI/CD pipelines accordingly.

Handling technological challenges and thinking creatively and outside of the box.

Be able to carry decisions both in DevOps and IT related matters.

Position requirements:

Experience as System Administrator / IT Engineer in Linux and Networking for 3-5 years - required

Experience as a DevOps Engineer / Developer for at least 2 years - required

Experience in either Bash, Python or Groovy for 2 years - required

Experience with Dockers/Podman/Kubernetes - required

Managing a DevOps/Development team - advantage

Building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or alike - advantage

Experience with NPM/Maven/Nuget - advantage

Working with large scale systems as a team leader - advantage
