Market leading life insurance firm are looking for a test engineer to join their talented team in Reading. They are undergoing a period of extreme growth, raising their headcount by 40% over the last financial year, and are looking to replicate this in the coming year. They are a people-centric business which is replicated in their company culture, offering flexible hybrid working dependant on employees personal situations.

Seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support in the creation of a new automation framework, automating both functional tests across web applications and against APIs during an exciting time for the growing Company. The position will involve using the latest technologies to accelerate automation capabilities and include testing as part of automated deployment processes.

Using a cloud and managed services model delivered through a set of core partners, supporting a rapid pace of change as the business grows, without the constraints of legacy systems.

This role would be suited to someone with a flexible can-do attitude, a team player, with experience in test design across a variety of web applications, APIs and databases. With a modern autonomous approach with no micro-managment. Familiarity with the life insurance or other financial services is an advantage but not essential.

Requirements:

• Design and building of test frameworks
• Cypress / C#
• Creation, execution and analysis of automated tests across web apps and API's
• Producing automation estimates and plans
• Cross Browser testing
• Raising defects and tracking and validating fixes
• Daily status reporting
• Working with stakeholders to maintain a prioritised backlog of manual tests suitable for automation
• Working with system architects, business analysts and delivery managers to improve the efficiency and quality of deployments
