Certification Engineer(s)

iO Associates are currently working with a company in the regulated engineering sector that is looking to bring several Certification Engineers into their technical division on a fixed‑term basis.
The organisation develops complex, safety‑critical products for global customers and operates across multiple international sites. This role offers the chance to work within a collaborative, innovation‑focused environment alongside multidisciplinary teams.

Location: Southwest Germany (on‑site presence required)
Contract Length: 12‑month fixed‑term (ANÜ employment model)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary/Rate: Competitive hourly rate under ANÜ, aligned with experience and industry standards
Eligibility: EU citizens or EU Blue Card holders only (no visa sponsorship available)

Responsibilities

  • Develop certification test plans and produce compliance reports
  • Provide expertise on conformity requirements, testing standards, and system integration
  • Act as a key point of contact for certification matters across internal teams
  • Communicate risks, issues, and changes affecting certification scope or timelines
  • Support resolution of certification challenges and process improvements
  • Collaborate with project teams, customers, authorities, and suppliers
  • Represent the organisation at technical or industry meetings
  • Support colleagues and contribute to team activities

Your Profile

  • Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, Industrial, Mechatronics) or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience in certification within a regulated industry
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and certification processes
  • Familiarity with European and international regulatory authorities
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong English language skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally
