Agricultural Machinery Support – Working Student / Intern

iO Associates are supporting an innovative organisation on a mission to transform modern agriculture by reducing reliance on herbicides. They design and deploy autonomous field‑robotics systems capable of identifying crops, detecting weeds using computer vision, and removing them mechanically, all without chemicals. The team brings together specialists in software, electronics, mechanical engineering, and product design, working closely with farmers to deliver real‑world impact.

Location: Munich Area
Contract Length: 6-9 Months
Employment Type: Working Student/Internship
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (Mostly remote with occasional visits to customer sites)
Rate: Up to €18 Per Hour
Start Date: 1st March 2026

Day to Day:

  • A fast‑moving startup environment with real ownership and influence

  • A varied role spanning customer support, field deployment, and technical work

  • Provide first‑level support for customer inquiries about deployed systems
  • Act as the primary contact during field deployments
  • Conduct demos and presentations for prospective customers
  • Commission new systems and train farmers on correct operation
  • Perform on‑site maintenance and replace system components when required

Your Profile:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or vocational training in agriculture, agricultural engineering, agricultural machinery, or a related field
  • Practical experience operating tractors or agricultural machinery
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Class B driving licence (additional machinery licences are a strong advantage)
  • Friendly, confident communication style when working with customers
  • Basic familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu or similar)
  • Interest in sustainable agriculture, machinery, or field robotics
  • Willingness to travel within the EU and Switzerland for customer deployments
  • Flexibility for occasional work outside standard hours
