iO are working with an established and rapidly growing Digital agency in their search for an experienced Automation Tester to join them on an initial 3 month contract basis

They work with global technology leaders to provide digital transformation services to a number of customers in industries including not-for-profit, financial services and the pubic sector. This specific project is supporting a Gov agency on a big digital transformation programme

They are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with a proven background in the testing of technical solutions, including microservices architectures, to work within BAU teams to ensure the quality and reliability of software releases.

You will need to design and execute test cases, identify defects early, and work closely with Developers and Business Analysts to maintain quality throughout the delivery cycle, focusing on functional, integration, and sometimes non-functional testing with the aim of preventing costly issues in production, improving user experience, and supporting continuous delivery with confidence.

Must have experience in testing one or more of the following:

  • Ability to develop functional tests, which exercise the UI, API and DB layers
  • Familiar with test and bug management tools and processes, specifically JIRA and Zephyr Enterprise
  • Create, maintain, and review automated and coded tests
  • Use testing frameworks, tools, source control, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong experience with Selenium Automation (Java/Python/C#)
  • Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • Knowledge of AWS, Docker / Kubernetes
