The Opportunity
In response to ongoing growth and strategic initiatives, our Client is seeking a dedicated Business Development Manager specialising in defence sectors. This pivotal role is designed to drive the identification and expansion of new business opportunities, with a focus on emerging technologies and strategic partnerships. As a key member of the team, you will support the integration of cutting-edge trends into product offerings and help shape the company’s future landscape within defence markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new commercial opportunities, with a strong emphasis on emerging technology trends.
• Cultivate and establish strategic alliances with partners aligned with our Client’s medium-term development goals.
• Collaborate across departments-including Marketing, Development, Sales, and Finance-to align efforts with strategic objectives.
• Analyse and monitor technological advancements to inform product management decisions.
• Support and contribute to marketing strategies aimed at opening new avenues for business growth.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Proven experience in business development, especially within defence, satellite communications, or communications engineering.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities with extensive market research and trend evaluation experience.
• Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
