iO Associates are looking for an experienced Business Manager / Chief of Staff to partner closely with the CFO and senior finance leadership team within a global organisation.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, owning key initiatives and acting as the operational glue across a busy finance function. You’ll be a trusted partner to the CFO, helping to drive priorities, unblock issues and ensure critical activities stay on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a trusted partner to the CFO, helping manage priorities, commitments and strategic initiatives.
  • Owning and driving key projects across the finance function, ensuring successful delivery against business objectives.
  • Bringing structure to governance processes, leadership meetings and action tracking.
  • Preparing executive-quality board packs, financial reporting updates and briefing materials.
  • Coordinating stakeholders across finance and wider business functions to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Identifying blockers, resolving issues and keeping initiatives moving forward.
  • Supporting finance transformation programmes and operational improvements.
  • Reviewing existing processes and recommending pragmatic ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience Required:

  • Experience as a Business Manager, Chief of Staff, Finance Operations Manager or senior PMO professional.
  • Strong understanding of finance operations, reporting cycles and governance processes.
  • Experience producing board papers, executive reporting and leadership updates.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Confidence working directly with senior executives and influencing stakeholders across the business.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach – you’ll take the time to understand the landscape before adding value where it’s needed most.
  • A pragmatic mindset, focused on delivering outcomes rather than creating unnecessary process.

Please don’t hesitate to apply now for more information or a confidential conversation.
