Our client is a globally recognised professional services organisation with a strong international presence and a significant investment in data, governance, analytics, and AI. As part of their ongoing data transformation journey, they are continuing to enhance their enterprise-wide data governance capabilities and are seeking an experienced Collibra Engineer to take ownership of their global data catalogue and governance platform.
Working closely with Data Governance, Data Engineering, Security, Privacy, and Business teams, you will play a key role in the implementation, administration, automation, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the Collibra platform across development and production environments.
- Configure and maintain communities, domains, asset types, relationships, and metadata models.
- Manage user access, permissions, roles, and governance workflows.
- Develop and maintain metadata ingestion, synchronisation, and automation processes.
- Build integrations using Collibra APIs and support platform enhancements.
- Implement and maintain end-to-end technical and business lineage.
- Support metadata governance across Databricks, Power BI, and wider enterprise data platforms.
- Configure and maintain data classification, privacy tagging, stewardship, and governance controls.
- Support integration between Collibra and access governance tools such as Immuta.
- Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders to drive adoption and governance best practices.
- Deliver guidance, training, and support to users across the organisation.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud.
- Experience managing Data Catalogue, Business Glossary, and Stewardship capabilities.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.
- Experience developing metadata ingestion, workflow automation, and governance processes.
- Knowledge of Collibra APIs and platform integrations.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling concepts.
- Experience working within large-scale or regulated enterprise environments.
Desirable
- Experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog.
- Knowledge of data classification, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies.
- Python and/or Groovy scripting experience.
- Collibra certifications.
- Experience integrating governance tooling within modern enterprise data platforms.
