This is a hands-on, operationally embedded role – responsible for ensuring management systems are designed, implemented, evidenced, audited, and continually improved. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive consistency, traceability, and “right-first-time” delivery across the business.
Key Responsibilities

- Maintain an audit-ready framework: document control, obligations tracking, compliance calendar, action tracking
- Plan and deliver internal audit programmes, support external audits, and manage evidence packs
- Lead non-conformance management, corrective/preventative actions, and effectiveness verification/closure
- Monitor regulatory & standards changes, assess impact, and coordinate compliant implementation
- Drive a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement through pragmatic engagement and training
- Provide clear reporting on themes, trends, risks, actions, and performance metrics to leadership forums
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong track record owning or leading quality / compliance / assurance in a regulated environment
- Practical working knowledge of ISO 9001 (and ideally ISO 14001 / ISO 45001)
- Confident running internal audits, supporting external audits, and managing audit findings to closure
- Excellent documentation discipline (policies, procedures, templates, registers, evidence)
- Able to influence stakeholders, challenge appropriately, and drive improvements without “paper-only” compliance
- Due to the nature of the business, SC clearance will be required.
