Data Engineer

I am working with a company in the financial sector who is leveling up their Data and we’re looking for a Data Engineer who can design high‑quality pipelines, develop robust data models and help shape the next generation of our enterprise data architecture. This is on an inital 6 month contract basis and requires occassional/monthly travel to client site.

What you’ll work on

• Build and maintain ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks

• Develop modular transformations with dbt

• Model data using Data Vault and Kimball techniques

• Design and optimise our Enterprise Data Warehouse

• Implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps

• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve pipeline performance

• Ensure strong governance, security and GDPR compliance

What you bring

• 3-5 years’ experience in data engineering

• Strong SQL and Python/PySpark skills

• Hands‑on Azure experience (ADF, Databricks)

• Experience with dbt and modern ELT patterns

• Solid understanding of Data Vault and dimensional modelling

• Comfortable working in Agile teams

• Detail‑driven, collaborative and delivery‑focused
