Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support the delivery of cloud‑based data and analytics solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability across Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and emerging AI‑assisted tooling such as Databricks Genie.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.

• Apply Databricks Genie to enhance development efficiency and code quality.

• Implement ELT processes aligned with data modelling, governance, and security standards.

• Prepare and transform data across varied formats to support analytical workloads.

• Contribute to the design and operation of Azure‑based analytics platforms.

• Work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams, ensuring adherence to engineering best practice.

Required Skills & Experience

• Python/PySpark and SQL expertise.

• Proven Databricks experience, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.

• Understanding of Databricks Genie and its application within engineering workflows.

• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory and related Azure data services.

• Experience with Streamlit or equivalent tools.

• Solid grounding in data modelling, ELT patterns, governance, and security.

• Experience delivering solutions using Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies.

• Background in designing and operating analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure.
