Role: DV Cleared Network Developer
Location: Corsham, Wiltshire (On-site)
Contract length: 6 months
Rate: £500–£550/day (via approved umbrella)
Clearance: Must be eligible and willing to undergo DV clearance
Overview
We’re supporting a Defence/Government programme delivering secure, resilient global WAN services. You’ll join a specialist network team focused on designing, implementing and supporting technical change in a highly secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver network solutions aligned to evolving customer requirements.
- Configure, troubleshoot and support network infrastructure across WAN routing and LAN switching.
- Work with routing/switching technologies including MPLS and BGP.
- Implement secure connectivity using encryption overlays such as IPSec, GRE, and hardware encryption.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation, including:
- Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
- Build/configuration guides
- Work instructions / operational runbooks
- Engage with third-party vendors to diagnose issues and improve platform performance.
- Support security testing activities (e.g., ITHC) and remediate vulnerabilities/compliance findings.
- Provide 3rd/4th line support for live services to maintain operational stability.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong, hands-on experience delivering secure network solutions in enterprise/mission-critical environments.
- Proven capability configuring and troubleshooting network devices and resolving defects/incidents.
- Solid understanding of encrypted overlays and secure communications design.
- Background working in highly secure / regulated environments.
- Clear communicator with a proactive, structured approach to problem-solving.
- Able to write crisp, usable technical documentation and collaborate effectively with vendors and stakeholders.
