 Electrical System Modeling Engineer – New Aircraft Program

iO Associates are partnered with an innovative aerospace OEM at the forefront of developing low-carbon emission, next-generation aircraft. With a rapidly growing team and ambitious programme milestones ahead, they are looking to appoint an Aircraft Electrical System Modeling Engineer to lead modeling and simulation activities within their Experimental Design Office.

Requirements:

  • Higher education in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

  • 5+ years of experience in aeronautics applied to high voltage systems

  • Strong expertise in multiphysics modeling and simulation (influence of temperature, pressure, and electrical stress)

  • Proficiency with Matlab and/or Amesim is highly desirable

  • Good understanding of aircraft system architecture and aerospace certification regulations

  • Proactive, rigorous, and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary, high-complexity team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Modeling and simulating the innovative electrical architecture of a next-generation 19-seat regional aircraft (ERA)

  • Integrating equipment models into the electrical network to evaluate and study stability and power quality

  • Verifying simulation results against current and future aviation regulations to support proper sizing

  • Refining system specification requirements based on simulation results and participating in the V&V cycle

  • Authoring technical documentation related to system architecture and electrical system definitions

  • Bringing simulation expertise to the development of technical solutions to optimize network performance
