Contract: SC-Cleared Enterprise Security Architect

Role: Enterprise Security Architect – RAN / 4G & 5G (SC Cleared)
Rate: £700/day (Inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid – London or Bristol (2 days onsite per week)
Start: ASAP preferr

• Active SC clearance (valid through at least 2028).
• Able to work 2 days per week onsite in London or Bristol.
• Immediate start strongly preferred.

Overview

We’re hiring an experienced Enterprise Security Architect with strong expertise across RAN security and 4G/5G mobile networks to support a high-profile programme in a secure, regulated environment. You’ll lead security architecture and assurance across modern telecoms domains including Open RAN and Mobile Core, shaping designs that are secure-by-design and aligned to relevant standards and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead security architecture across 4G/5G, RAN, Open RAN, and Mobile Core environments.
• Produce secure designs for telecoms networks, virtualised infrastructure (SDN/NFV), and AWS / hybrid cloud.
• Run threat modelling, security design reviews, and provide technical assurance to delivery teams.
• Define and maintain security standards, reference architectures, and Security by Design principles/patterns.
• Partner with engineering, platform, and architecture stakeholders to deliver secure network transformation at pace.

Essential Experience

• Demonstrable Enterprise Architecture / Security Architecture experience within telecommunications.
• Strong domain knowledge across: RAN, 4G/5G, Mobile Core, Open RAN, SDN/NFV, and telecom network security controls.
• Experience applying architecture/security frameworks such as TOGAF and SABSA.
• Solid knowledge of AWS security, Zero Trust, IAM, and relevant telecom/security standards and guidance (e.g., 3GPP, GSMA, NCSC, ISO 27001).
• Background delivering security architecture in highly regulated and/or Critical National Infrastructure environments.
