Contract: Initial 6 months (potential to extend up to 12 months)
Working pattern: 5 days per week (3 days on-site)

An established manufacturing organisation is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on ERP Business Analyst / Data Specialist to support a critical Sage 200 implementation. This is an urgent opportunity to step into a high-impact role and help stabilise and deliver a complex ERP project approaching go-live.

The organisation is currently undergoing a major ERP transformation, consolidating over 100+ users onto Sage 200. However, the project is at a critical stage, with significant gaps in testing, data integrity, and process documentation. This role will play a key part in driving the project forward and ensuring successful delivery within tight timelines.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, challenging environments and is confident taking ownership of complex problems to deliver results.

The role:
You will play a pivotal role in rescuing and delivering a Sage 200 ERP implementation, working across business analysis, data management, and solution design. You will help establish structure, improve processes, and ensure the system is ready for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go-live.

This role requires a proactive, “hands-on” approach, with the ability to quickly assess issues, implement solutions, and support multiple areas of the project simultaneously.

Key responsibilities

  • You will lead and support business analysis activities, including reviewing and improving existing process documentation and identifying gaps. You will play a critical role in preparing the system for UAT by helping define testing approaches and supporting execution where required.
  • You will manage and support data-related activities, including data migration, data cleansing, and data loading to ensure system readiness. You will work closely with stakeholders to resolve data issues and ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • You will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support ERP implementation activities, provide practical solutions, and contribute to overall project delivery. You will also support wider project needs, stepping in across multiple functions where required to ensure progress.

About you
We are looking for someone with strong, hands-on experience in ERP implementations, particularly with Sage 200. You should be comfortable working in complex, unstructured environments and confident taking ownership to drive outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Sage 200 (essential)
  • Strong background in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, and/or Solutions Architecture
  • Proven experience in ERP implementations, particularly in challenging or turnaround environments
  • Experience with data migration, cleansing, and system preparation for go-live
  • Ability to work in Agile or fast-paced delivery environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Resilience and adaptability to manage a high-pressure project environment

Why apply?
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on a high-profile ERP transformation. You will be working on a business-critical project with immediate challenges, offering the chance to demonstrate your expertise and deliver real value. The role offers a competitive day rate, flexible hybrid working, and the potential for long-term engagement.
