Export Compliance Lead

A global technology and manufacturing group is hiring an Export Compliance Lead to take ownership of its EMEA export compliance programme. This is a genuinely hands-on, high-trust role where you will shape the way export controls are managed day-to-day; building practical processes, enabling the business to move quickly and safely, and ensuring the organisation stays audit-ready as regulations evolve.
You will partner closely with senior stakeholders across the region and work with a wider global compliance team to keep standards consistent internationally.
Role responsibilities:
- Running and continuously improving the export compliance framework across EMEA
- Turning EU export-control requirements into clear policies, workable controls, and repeatable processes
- Acting as the point person for cross-functional decision-making when export-control risk is involved
- Building and delivering training so teams understand obligations and changes in regulation
- Overseeing due diligence for customers, suppliers, and third parties
- Leading internal reviews and managing investigations where something doesn’t look right
- Keeping accurate documentation, reporting, and evidence trails for audit and governance
- Staying ahead of regulatory changes and updating processes before risk becomes an issue
Candidate profile:
- Experienced in export compliance & controls in an international environment
- Strong working knowledge of EU export controls
- Experience working with governmental export divisions
