Overview
We are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to join a growing team delivering innovative solutions for Defence and Homeland Security applications. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, developing advanced FPGA-based technologies for complex engineering challenges.
Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to cutting-edge research, prototype development, and proof-of-concept solutions, helping to create technologies that support critical defence and security capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement FPGA firmware solutions using VHDL or Verilog.
- Capture and analyse system requirements, translating them into robust FPGA architectures and designs.
- Develop, test, and validate FPGA implementations throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system integration, prototyping, and technical problem-solving.
- Support the development of innovative technologies across defence, communications, and signal processing applications.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience developing FPGA firmware using VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development toolchains such as Vivado or Quartus.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing FPGA-based technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of FPGA verification, debugging, and testing methodologies.
- Relevant degree in Electronics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Additional Information
- Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
- This role is not eligible for UKVI visa sponsorship.
- Based at a modern engineering and research facility just south of Cambridge.
