Job Title: Junior Fullstack Developer

Salary: Up to £50,000 P/A 

Location: Bristol (Hybrid 3x PW on site)

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative technology business developing an IoT platform that uses connected devices and data analytics to improve the safety, health and efficiency of homes.

You’ll work as part of a collaborative engineering team, gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle. From building user-facing features and APIs to working with cloud infrastructure and data visualisation, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills across the entire stack while learning from experienced engineers.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and enhancing a modern web platform using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Building front-end features using Angular or another modern JavaScript framework.
• Developing REST APIs and backend services with Node.js.
• Working with SQL databases and cloud technologies, primarily AWS.
• Writing clean, well-tested code and contributing to a modern microservices architecture.
• Collaborating with the wider engineering team on new features, deployments and continuous improvements.

What we’re looking for

• Commercial or personal experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with Angular, React or Vue.
• Good SQL knowledge and experience working with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and Linux environments.
• An understanding of software testing and development best practices.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
• A genuine interest in modern software engineering, learning new technologies and building high-quality products.
