We’re working with a leading digital transformation consultancy delivering large-scale cloud, platform and AI programmes across enterprise and public sector clients.

They’re looking for a GCP Architect with a strong consulting background to lead the design and delivery of modern cloud solutions. This is a client-facing role suited to someone who can combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement.

You’ll play a key role shaping cloud architecture, guiding engineering teams, and helping clients modernise complex technology environments using Google Cloud.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and leading delivery of cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud
  • Owning architecture decisions across platforms, applications and data services
  • Working closely with clients to shape technical strategy and delivery roadmaps
  • Driving best practices across DevOps, security, scalability and resilience
  • Supporting and mentoring engineering teams within agile delivery environments
  • Contributing to proposals, technical discovery sessions and solution design workshops

Tech Environment

You’ll work across a modern Google Cloud ecosystem including:

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Kubernetes / GKE
  • Terraform
  • Java and/or Python
  • Cloud Run & Cloud Functions
  • BigQuery, Cloud SQL & Spanner
  • Vertex AI and AI-enabled services
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong consulting or client-facing delivery experience
  • Proven background designing and delivering GCP solutions
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and modern engineering practices
  • Experience working within agile delivery teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance innovation with pragmatic delivery

Nice to Have

  • Google Cloud certifications
  • Experience within regulated or public sector environments
  • Exposure to AI/ML or large-scale data platforms

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working model based around London
  • Onsite client engagement approximately 2-4 times per month
  • Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance
