SC Cleared Senior GCP Cloud Engineer

Outside IR35 | £400-500 per day | Initial 6 Month Contract | Fully Remote | Occasional UK Travel

We’re supporting a growing organisation delivering secure cloud platforms within a highly regulated environment and are looking for an experienced Senior GCP Cloud Engineer to join a major greenfield programme.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms and automation, helping build a secure, scalable platform from the ground up.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and operating production-grade infrastructure on Google Cloud.
• Building and managing Kubernetes (GKE) environments.
• Developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Owning CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Implementing monitoring, observability and platform security.
• Supporting distributed, high-assurance cloud environments.

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial experience with GCP, particularly GKE.
• Proven experience building and operating production Kubernetes platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• CI/CD and automation experience.
• Strong Linux and cloud networking knowledge.
• Experience working within secure or regulated environments is highly desirable.

Clearance

• Active SC Clearance preferred.
